Everything that passes always leaves something behind.

TRACE was born from this idea.

A gesture, a movement, a break, a passage. Matter retains the memory of what has passed through it.

On deep backgrounds, gold appears as an imprint: a line, a fissure, a relief, a light, or the mark of a movement. Each work explores in its own way what remains when the gesture ceases.

Some traces are obvious.
Others almost invisible.
Some tell of a passage, others of a transformation, a balance, roots, or a legacy.

We do not seek to erase the imperfections of the material. We let them exist, because they are part of the work's history.

Ultimately, TRACE speaks of what we leave behind.

Marks.
Memories.
Fragments of life.

Because everything passes. But something remains.
